Life
It's been a while. At school I'm already wanting to be done with calculus, which I have all year and have to take an AP test on. In choir we're singing Christmas music, and in band we're finishing up the last two weeks of marching season before starting concert band. We had a band dance last night after rehearsal. History fails to be a class I look forward to. In seminary we're currently in Luke, and the stake is one week away from our Cumorah Hill production. CDs for honor bands are due soon, I should've practiced more, but I say that every year and never seem to get around to it. Prop. 8 passed, yay, but the no-on-8-people are fighting against it still.

First Football Game
I can't say I payed too full attention to the game, but the varsity did end up winning by a significant amount. For the most part I was paying more attention to the music, drum cadences, and friends. It was overall a fun game. Because we're only suppose to have four piccalos for football games, I ended up playing flute even though I'm piccalo in the field show, and a lot of the seniors played piccalo. Rachel said we'd switch off through-out the year. We also had 10-6 band practice yesterday.
Gary's Mission Call
Gary got his mission call to the South Africa Cape Town Mission English speaking on Monday (I wasn't there when he opened it because of band, so I got texted the results.) He called a lot of people to tell them the first day. He's extremely excited, and looked up South Africa on the internet, including the CIA's website. So far it appears to be a beautiful place with good weather year round, some edible sounding food, some gross sounding food (maybe that's just me), and penguins. He's already started working on getting his Visa, which is why he doesn't leave until Jan. He's counting down the days, and it sounds like he wants to learn one of the dialects.

Long Week
Monday feels like a long time ago. This week I had my first orchestra rehersal on Thursday, my first Super Saturday (band rehersal during marching season) from 9-6, went to the Rocklin Stake dance after the band practice, and went horseback riding Friday. At mutual on Wednesday we had two wards practicing for the stake musical. We're not very loud, so when I hit the high A at the end of the piece like it says, some of the people around me jumped. Thankfully we've gotten some of our Christmas music for ward choir. In YW's class today we had a lesson on dating and recieved a mini salsa jar with the label "Never let things get hot and spicy while dating." I thought that was cute.

Week's recap
We had the Decades dance at the school (Juniors are 70s, so I borrowed a dress from a friend), my first horseback riding lesson for the school session (lots of fun), a get-together with friends Saturday night, and seating auditions for the orchestra I'm in (which went well). Also, I passed my 1st math test with an A-. That was nice.

New Title
About the new title: Freshman year my friends Gina and Joanna Finn (twins) decided that I should be a childrens book called "The Littlest Lisa" With help from Emily Darcey and other they came up with a lot of chapters, and the plot is that I'm trying to get to zero period on time, but took a wrong turn in chapter one. Their ideas were actually really funny and involved tiny squid named Loren, a camel in need of a spittoon, shampoo the whale, smiles, a crazy old man in a hot air balloon, various different regions of the world, and other stuff.
